A typical class
The Urban Gym combines cardio-vascular training and dynamic resistance techniques in "street circuits" of approx 3km, for a heart-pumping city-centre adventure!
Set off at a jog from a pre-determined Hub, to hit a number of exercise hot-spots for a full body work-out. Our squad of qualified male and female instructors have a huge range of coaching specialities, so don't be surprised to be doing pull-ups in a piazza, cat-crawls in car-parks or bunny hops over bollards!
What to bring
Change at work, carry your gear, shower at home. We recommend bringing a drink, an energy snack and a windproof outer top for your journey home. A sense of adventure, a rucksack or similar to keep your hands free, and you're all set.
What to wear
You’ll be moving at a steady jog, so wear trainers suitable for hard surfaces. Clothes should be comfortable for an hour of high activity in the open air: we suggest a bright top and shorts or trousers in manmade fibres, but clothes you won’t mind getting a bit grubby at any rate.
If it’s wet or windy, maybe an extra layer or hat. We frequently get "hands on" with brickwork, railings, flagstones etc.- if your hands are delicate, or tend to get cold, gloves are useful - cycle gloves are excellent..
